Albania
Albania is still one of the most unknown countries in Europe. In many places there is an untouched nature and a beautiful landscape. To protect this site of Albania for the future, the increasing tourism gives the chance, to show and demonstrate sustainable technologies and environmental concepts.
The Janisch & Schulz Consulting created a few concepts for decentralised water management in small units (hotels, small villages, households) in the near past. They took place between the middle east (Ohrid lake) and the north west (close to the borderline to Montenegro)
The gabion manufacture “Albania Draht” (30 km west side of Tirane) Janisch & Schulz designed a constructed wetland to treat the wastewater of the 30 employees. The sewage plant was built in 2002. All of the material the owner could supply in his own area.
